A Chemical Free Garden
Electrolyzed ionized water (EIW) is the perfect water for your garden. Inside your home, EIW can extend the freshness and life of cut flowers for days. It can also restore the health of sickly plants almost overnight by eliminating pests and enhancing photosynthesis. Acidic plants such as roses, hydrangeas or blueberries love the more acidic EIW which can be sprayed onto the roots or used for watering. And all of this with no pesticides, plant washes or powders that have to be mixed in the water.
But in your garden, there is nothing as essential to an organic garden as EIW. By adjusting the pH of the soil with water, you can change the health of your plants quickly and without any environmental impact. Plants are very forgiving, and they will thrive even in a range of pH measurements. But the truth is that soil acidity or alkalinity directly affect plant growth, exactly as people are affected. If the soil is not the proper pH for the plant's needs then the plant cannot take in the nutrients it requires, such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The levels of these nutrients and the pH of the soil are what allow the plant to thrive and fight off disease, pests and stress.
Most home garden plants prefer soil that is slightly acidic, 6.0-6.5 is a good pH to use. Some plants, such as rhododendrons and potatoes love 5.0, while desert plants generally prefer 8.0 as do lilacs. Strongly acidic EIW such as 2.5 is the perfect natural insecticide. By spraying 2.5 on all plants you can eliminate pests, aphids and other plant pests. Currently 2.5 acidic water is being used in many agricultural locations in place of poisonous and dangerous pesticides. This also means you can kill pest plants such as poison ivy and sumac by watering them with 11.5 or 2.5 water which will shift the pH of the soil out of range for the plant to thrive.
