Karen, I am so glad you wrote this and it makes so much sense. One of the things that concern me about conventional Western medicine is that symptoms are so often seen as discreet events that exist in a vacuum, separate from the state of system as a whole.
The emerging evidence is that not only are symptoms intrinsically linked to the entire mind/ body system of the person but that there is frequently a link between adverse childhood events and the development of chronic disease such as Parkinson’s, cancer etc later in life.
